Busy as a BEE!

I am always a busy person, but this week was especially hectic! We got completely moved into our new home! I can't wait to pour my little heart into it! :) We were really thankful to have the help of great friends and family to get that done! The next time we move will be into the house that we build and plan to live there the rest of our days! Moving is a chore! To say we are blessed would be an understatement to explain all that God has put in our path this year!! He is way too good to us! I still can't believe it is already december...one of my favorite times of the year :) Christmas is my favorite holiday!!! Jesus is the reason for the season! I love EVERYTHING about it... from the reason we celebrate, the music, crazy shopping adventures, decorating, the atmospheres, hallmark movies, baking, family/friend time, to the lights on roof tops and candy cane kisses!! I love it all! I have been pulling out all my Christmas stuff this week! I made another fabric wreath... I made the fall one and just had to make a Christmas one. I love it!

I am switching up my tree and decorations this year! I have been going with a more traditional red, gold, and green the past few years. I was getting bored with that so last year after Christmas I got a bunch of cute tree stuff for 75% off at hallmark!! I have picked up a few other things here and there and I can't wait to get my tree decorated! Moving has put a delay on decorating so I have been itching to get it done ;) .. Lime green and red are my colors this year! So fun!  I wanted to do something whimsical and different than what I had been doing. Here a couple things going on my tree this year plus lots more! Can't wait!

Praising God for the good, the bad, and everything in between!

Some days I feel so blessed my heart could pop! :) God has covered my life with His grace and love! I am thankful to be a Child of God! Without Him nothing is possible and life would be pointless! I have learned when you praise God for even the smallest of things He allows BIG things to happen in your life! :)  Make plans, but know we live by God's grace! No, life is never perfect, but sure is good when we learn to become selfless and allow God to be the center of attention! Sometimes when you feel you are down to nothing... whether it is a spiritual, emotional, financial, physical, or any other kind of drain...God really is up to something...something BIG!!! :) God bless you...begin to praise God for the good, bad, and the ugly :) .. it will change your life!!

Love146

The other day one of my friends and I headed out for lunch and on a hunt for a "skinny" Christmas tree! She had on a shirt that read "To Write Love on Her Arms." I was curious as to what the saying meant so I asked her about it .. her husband had been to a confrence and this organization was there. They supported people who were addicts & cutters with hopeless lives filled with depression. I got this off their website and it kind of sums up their goal...

"We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose all the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vulnerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home. "

"I have learned so much in one week with one brave girl. She is alive now, in the patience and safety of rehab, covered in marks of madness but choosing to believe that God makes things new, that He meant hope and healing in the stars. She would ask you to remember."

If you are like me you know there are so many organizations out there that support people in all walks of life through mission work or whatever it may be, but hearing about this breaks my heart! We often are so wrapped up in our own lives we forget about the ones that suffer in so many ways that are beyond what we could imagine!

We got to talking about another organization called Love146. This one really got to me! It is an organization to help end/prevent children from becoming victims of slavery, rape, and exploitation. I got curious and found this organization's website. To my surprise not only is child sex slavery taking place in Asia and other parts of the world, but it is happening right here in the U.S.! How can we all be so blind.. I wanted to help..these are children..toddlers even! I begin to read and look into this website and balled my eyes out reading the stories.. my heart hurts.. this is their story..

"In 2002 co-founders Rob Morris, Desirea Rodgers, Lamont Hiebert and Caroline Hahm traveled to South East Asia to witness first hand the atrocity of child sex slavery and the hope of abolition and restoration. While there, Rob and Lamont went undercover with professional investigators into a brothel. In that brothel, they witnessed little girls standing behind a wall of glass, each wore a matching red dress with a number pinned to her chest; they were watching children’s cartoons on small television sets. Men were purchasing these girls by the number pinned to her dress. As Rob and Lamont looked at these children watching cartoons they were struck by the eyes of each child. Their eyes seemed empty, without spark of life, like robots. And then there was #146. The only one not watching cartoons, she was staring back through the glass with fire and fight left in her eyes, there was still life there. In her eyes we found our calling. In her number came our name. "

I bought a T-shirt from this organization and made a donation and you can do the same. I hope people ask me about my T-shirt just as I did hers so I can help spread awareness! I think any little bit helps :)

How Christian's are Like Pumpkins and a Venti Mocha

I just wanted to share this little saying one of my aunt's had on her facebook profile! I love coming across her status'. She is such an uplifter and a lot of times has a verse.. one that is exactly what I may have needed to see more often than not..anyway this was one she had up and I thought it was fitting for the season :)...

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff -- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.

Today as I was on my way home I went through a Starbuck's drive thru and ordered a tall mocha. I was kind of in a blah mood...we have had a lot going on here lately and I have a lot on my plate and I had just been jamming out to a hillsong CD I borrowed from a friend and praying about life on my way home. It was just one of those days we all have sometimes..maybe a little stressed.. a little overwhelmed thinking about stuff.. anyway when I got to the window to pay.. the girl working informed me that the people infront of me had upgraded my tall to a venti and payed for my drink too! That just made my week! They had no clue who I was and what way that impacted me at that time! What a sweet little blessing in a big way :) you just never know! Sometime I am going to do the same and hope I can make someone else's day! It just made me happy! I think God knew I needed that not only in a little more caffeine kind of way, but also a put a smile on my face kind of way! :-) Sometimes it really is the small things in life...

Pumpkin Patch and Baby Thoughts

Yesterday I headed off with some great friends and their babies to lunch and another pumpkin patch! My best friend's little boy was so very attached to me for some reason.. it was so sweet! He got jealous when I held another baby.. too funny! I'll just let myself think he knows who talked to him for the 36 weeks while he was in his momma's belly.. and watched the little bundle of joy make his debut :).. well more like 32 weeks because I think she was like 4wks along when she found out she was expecting and called me the night she took the test..sent me a picture of her pee stick through e-mail and I was ecstatic because I knew they wanted this baby for so long! Well I said all that to say this .. some days I want my own little one so BAD! :) I want to come up with a big surprise way to tell everyone and have a turn with all the baby stuff! Sweet days like these and being around all these babies really makes me have a little baby fever! Although I never feel out of place because it seems like there is always an extra baby to hold or somehting to help out with and I have a niece and 4 nephews whom I absolutely love to spoil rotten! They all knew where my house was in the first month they were born ;) haha! I love kids and I think I want like 10 of those little sweet things! No not really but I want a few anyhow! ;) My husband and I are gung-ho for a baby one day and others we love our little life with just the two of us! I do not think anyone is ever "ready" per say to have kids, but if you plan on them I think you will wait forever to have them! I don't know but it justs seems that way! In our case we will have to plan which is a whole other story within itself. I may start blogging about that when we round that corner and as we experiance it. I basically do not ovulate and I will have to take a pill to get pregnant according to the doctor. I had some hormone testing done though and nothing seemed to be abnormal as far as baby making hormones. I do not have a menstrual cycle at all which is great but not normal and you will obviously have difficulty getting pregnant without one of those! I am contemplating trying a more herbal supplement route first before I take something like clomid. It is a little ways off yet, but if you are reading this please remember us in your prayers! I know there are a lot more women in the world, some I am close to, that have had to deal with situations a lot more complicated so I do not want to sound like a pity party, but this is always on my heart! My heart goes out to so many struggling with infertility and any pregnancy complication! Sometimes I wish I could go "ta da" and everyone who wants a baby gets one and all of the anxiety and fears go away! I realize there are reasons for everything and I have become so sensitive and interested in hearing about women dealing with issues in this area. I come from a BIG family and it is not uncommon for my cousins, sister, aunts etc. to have 4, 6, or even 8 kids! We love babies! I used to ask God why..why me God?..out of everyone I love kids and I want to have a few too! I think I did that because the initial shock of it all I thought I would never have children and that was not at all what they were telling me. The devil gets us down sometimes and I think that was one of those moments. I am human and know we are not suppose to question, but this was one place I sure never thought I would have an issue! I have learned to praise God through this trial though and I know He has something in the making for us and that makes me excited! I feel so patient about our situation too almost in a weird way.. I just know God has big plans in so many areas for us and He is going to work everything out in His timing which is always perfect timing! Sometimes when I am praying about it if it is bugging me I will thank God for the children He is going to give us and promise Him I will raise our kids according to His word! I know God has plans for us and He knows the desires of my heart so I just trust in Him and know He will make things happen when they are suppose to happen! I think children are the biggest blessing you could ever receive in life! I am thankful in some ways we have waited a little while also.. we are busy people for one thing.. been through a lot financially and career wise..and I enjoy our random trips.. sleeping in(i love my sleep..just going to be honest).. waffle house late night visits.. catching a late movie.. enjoying just the two of us.. love when we have no schedules and just hang out at home..long days of shopping...just getting up and going somewhere.. it seems to be much more difficult with another in tow ;)  the other night we decided we wanted some ice cream in a waffle cone at like 11:30(awful time to eat ice cream I know) so we headed to baskin robbins up town that is in a gas station and open all night and had us a little ice cream date.. I know after kiddos get here I will cherish these times we have had without them, but I also can't wait to see what the adventure of parenthood holds either :) I cherish all the fun times we have without kids but I honestly cannot wait to have our own! Sorry that was a lot of venting! To sum it all up.. I can't wait to have some babies when God is ready! If you are this far I just want to say thanks for reading! Hope this post is not to long and boring! ;)
